A couple weeks back I hosted a DIY Terrarium making course at Object Gallery in Surry Hills. I'm always a little nervous when it comes to teaching, but this ended up being a really fun experience and something I will remember as a highlight in my styling career. 

It was very interesting for me to witness the creative decisions people made when it came to choosing a vessel; deciding upon which plants to use; the arrangement and order in which they planted them; and the final touches of incorporating figurines.I was blown away at how different everyone's terrariums turned out, despite the fact that most of the materials used to make these crazy little sceneries were the same to begin with. 

The best part was seeing the satisfied look on people's faces when they had finished. Not only did they learn a new skill, but they also got to take home something unique and individual that they made themselves. I had a great time and look forward to teaching more classes at Object Gallery in the months to come. 

This is a shoot I worked on a while back for frankie magazine with the talented Saskia Wilson and Holly McCauley. We shot it in my friends, the White's, furniture studio. What I love about my job the most is working and collaborating with different creative and like minded people. Working for frankie means getting to work with lovely, down to earth creatives, which can be something quite rare in this industry. I feel blessed to have stumbled across this so early on in my career. 

A while back I worked on an engagement shoot with Luisa  for lovely couple Emma and Ruan. You can see more of it featured on Polka Dot bride. It was a fun day and the weather was amazing. I haven' been up early enough to watch sunrise in quite some time, but it was definitely worth if for these guys.

Nothing says Australia day like a good Lamington. Luisa and I were lucky enough to get a little lesson as well as a take home package from the girls at Milkwood last time we were in Melbourne. Oh so delicious they were!
